I spent some time playing in my back catalog recently and it really got me thinking. If “me from the past” was asking me now what three things to learn first about photography I’d say composition, composition and composition. Software always evolves and you always have the ability to go to old images and re-process them but flying back to a location to re-setup a shot isn’t all that feasible…
I’ve been studying for an IT certification recently so I’ve been knee-deep in that but after that’s done I think I am going to go back to an audiobook about the history of Venice called… wait for it… Venice: A new history. Also having been to the real Venice and two fake ones, I think the real one is cooler.
